Orvieto (Tr). Now in its 9th edition, the Zipfest 2008 – Live performing Art and Improvisation Festival will run in Orvieto from June 21 st to 29. Some 100 dancers from all over the world will be taking part in this year’s festival, wich is a celebration of the Contact Improvisation philosophy, inter-cultural and inter-generational dialogue. Fifteen international artists have been invited to liven up the city with their performances from morning to late at night, in a densely packed programme of jam sessions, performances, concerts, intensive workshops, meetings and seminars on Contact Improvisation, improvisation and performance art. The choreographer Rossella Fiumi directs the festival, which is patronised by the Regione dell’Umbria and sponsored the Comune di Orvieto.
