Residenza Antica Canonica: The old fifteenth century building that houses the Residenza Antica Canonica rises up from within the old town of Città di Castello, right beside the Cathedral. The building was originally used for accommodating the canons of the Cathedral: bearing witness to this far gone era, the imposing doorways have remained in the corridor, that still allow for access to the Cathedral today as they did then. Throughout the residence, an atmosphere of times gone by still prevails, it has remained intact thanks to the restoration work that was respectful of the original structure.
